do the hokey pokey

So it turns out I haven’t shot anything for 3 months. Pretty sad :(

Work kinda took over for a while there and I figured it was time again to get out with my camera and a pretty girl. Enter Zoe. We went to my old neighborhood and took some really simple shots. Natural light, no flashes, nothing tricky.

While shooting (and after looking at this shot), I was reminded why I love it so. I spent an hour with a stunning young girl and ended up with some great photos. This was my fav.

I really need to shoot more.

I did another series of shots with April a few weeks back. Street shoot. I love the fact we found all these awesome background colours of the shots down below. Very little editing, just a slight bump in the colours.

As for this shot, it was a concept I have had in my head for ages. I met April and thought, yep, she’s the one for this. Main issue I had was focusing the camera. It just could not pick up anything to focus on and I could not see either! We shot this is a dark little street in West End, under a street light - my only source of light. I like the end result, ALOT :)

I was having a Herb Ritts moment before a studio shoot and hence, did a self portrait. Yes, that’s what I look like :)

I worked with April Rose a few weeks back. Such a stunning girl. Make up was done by Amanda Mackay - equally talented! This shoot was why I enjoy doing this so much :)

I did another shoot for Wild Girls on the weekend with a new model. April Rose. I cannot stop raving about her.

I had another shoot with my friend Courtney the other week. Her concept, my lens. We work well together!

I decided to shoot this guy that scoots around on a wheelchair out the front of our cafe most days. He’s pretty funny, he rants a bit, tells interesting stories, sometimes pees on our bins, drinks beer in the back alley and sometimes calls some of our patrons sluts.

Basically your average nutbag. But I like him :)
